The elderly population of the municipality, in particular the most deprived have needs at various levels, particularly at the most basic level such as nourishment, considering home support services only work during the business days. In this sense it is essential to create a support/support action for this population that, living isolated is accompanied on a daily basis by a very intense solitude and a total absence of family support, thus conditioning their physical and psychic health.
The project will benefit elderly residents in the urban center of Coimbra, straddling the union of the municipalities of Coimbra (Almedina, S. Bartolomeu, Sé Nova, Santa Cruz and Santo António dos Olivais).
