Regional Consultation Council Meeting
Each one of the cultural agents was invited to integrate a structure that we call the Regional Cultural Council and that will be constituted as a platform of reflection, ideas and actions about culture in Coimbra.
The time has come to perform a meeting of this Regional Cultural Council. Reuniting and hearing all the cultural agents, our Working Group proposes thus to rouse and provoke its autonomous organization. We will shortly announce the date of this meeting and establish the contacts necessary for its materialization.
Study – Satisfaction survey
The City Council is going to order a study about Culture in Coimbra, its representations and valences from the University’s Centre of Social Studies. This study will start from investigations launched to the city’s population and of the region and will search to analyse discussions, images and cultural practices, constituting an essential document of assessment not only of the behaviour of the public that frequents the events and performances – and of the citizens in general – and of the city’s cultural well-being, but also of the knowledge that Coimbra possesses of itself and of its citizen attitude before the cultural phenomenon. The analysis of the data collected will be of great utility for the execution of the Working Group’s task, as well as for the definition of the city’s great lines of cultural planning.
