Coimbra Municipal Assembly
On the day 23rd of June of 2017 the Coimbra Municipal Assembly assumed, unanimously, the intention of presenting the candidacy of Coimbra CEC 2027 to the national and European instances.
CIM-RC – Coimbra Region Inter-municipal Community
On the day 6th of June of 2017, the Coimbra Region Inter-municipal Community, unanimously deliberated to formally support the candidacy of Coimbra Council to the European Capital of Culture 2027, and made itself available to participate and contribute in the construction process of the candidacy.
University of Coimbra
The University of Coimbra assumed the condition of partner of Coimbra European Capital of Culture 2027, a decision that was ratified unanimously, in the session of the University of Coimbra Senate, that took place on the day 5th of September of 2018.
Coimbra Polytechnic Institute
On the day 16th of November of 2018 the Coimbra Polytechnic Institute manifested its formal support to the Candidacy of Coimbra to European Capital of Culture 2027.
Lions Club
Amongst the various support, the Candidacy achieved international recognition, on behalf of Lions from the Island of the Governor, of Brazil, being expected to muster the support of 27 Brazilian Lions.
The support of the Lions is felt, also, in the representation of this organization at regional level, that has contributed actively, with reflections and suggestions.
