Pádua, Itália:

Padua is a city of the Italian region of Veneto, capital of the province of Padua, with about 240 000 inhabitants. It extends over an area of 92 km2, with a population density of 2267 inhabitants/km2.

Padua welcomes thousands of pilgrims who visit the Basilica of Santo António. This building has a vast and rich architectural and artistic heritage, with works of great figures where stand out several works of Donatello, such as the “Altar-Mor” as well as some sculptures. Padua also has the largest and most complete collection of works by Giotto.

Culturally rich, the city has important monuments among which are the Palazzo della Ragione, Torre dell ‘Oro (where one can observe the oldest clock in Italy) and the Basilica of Santa Giustina.

The University of Padua was founded in 1222. Although there is not much of the original building left, some interesting objects, such as the chair of Galileo have been preserved. The University of Padua is known as Bò, the name of the Hotel on which it was built.
