This is a very old initiative in the city’s history. Its origin, as the name says, is directly connected to the resurrection of Lazarus.
Families and friends would go up to Alta de Coimbra to pay a visit to the sick people at Lázaros Hospital. At this Fair, people may sell diverse products directly allied to the memories contemplated by the history of this event – bananas, “serrim” balls, candies, “arrufadas”, paper mills, articulated dolls, among many other objects.
This Fair takes place once a year at Celas Neighborhood.
